Job Description

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced General Practitioner for flexible primary care clinic sessions across Newcastle Emlyn. This regional role offers structured, well-supported GP clinical sessions, ideal for GPs looking to balance autonomy with consistent service environments.

You will manage routine and acute presentations, conduct telephone and face-to-face consultations, and support day-to-day clinical operations within established primary care clinics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering independent GP-led clinics within primary care settings
  • Managing acute, chronic and undifferentiated presentations
  • Conducting telephone triage and same-day access appointments
  • Prescribing safely within clinical guidelines
  • Handling clinical actions including results, referrals and medication reviews
  • Maintaining accurate digital clinical records

Requirements

  • GMC-registered GP
  • NHS Performers List inclusion
  • Experience in primary care or community settings
  • Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
  • Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS

Working Pattern

  • Fully flexible sessional work
  • Weekday, evening or weekend availability
  • Suitable for ad-hoc or regular weekly bookings
